- Promote tennis for women on an amateur basis
- Allow social and interesting games on Thursday and Friday mornings
- Offer competitive matches for women of all ages.
Today, the league has at least 60 teams and includes up to 800 women from 12 indoor clubs in the greater Montreal area. The players have a choice of four levels of play, level I being the strongest level. Teams have a minimum of 10 players. Each week 3 courts of doubles are played, team against another team of the same calibre.
The season begins in September and weekly play continues through the winter ending with elimination playoffs and the finals at the end of April.
The league has a system of averages for players permitting the individual player to move from one level to another.
