The captain's responsabilities

CAPTAIN'S RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Bring a typewritten list of the players, signed and approved by the pro responsible for TFIM to the first captain's meeting.
  2.  Submit a check that corresponds to the number of players on the list of players. The check should be made to the order of "TENNIS FÉMININ INTERCLUB MONTREAL".
  3.  Attend all captains' meetings and inform her team of all changes or new rules. If the captain is unable to attend, she must be replaced by one of the players on her team with a written proxy to vote.
  4.  Verify her schedule and make the necessary court reservations. Please Note: If a team has a "bye", it means that the team does not play that morning. The captain must also be aware of the start times of other teams and advise her members accordingly.
  5.  Verify that her players are registered by the October 31st deadline
  6.  10 MINUTES prior to the start of the match the receiving captain enters the names of her team on the score sheet. She then folds it in half and the visiting captain enters the names of her team on the visitor's side.
  7.  Upon completion of the match the receiving captain completes and signs the official score sheet and has it signed by the visiting captain. The receiving captain faxes the score sheet that day, prior to 3 pm, to the statistician of her level.
  8.  It is the receiving captain's responsibility to ensure the results are entered on the Tenniscores website by the end of match day.
  9.  It is the visiting captain's responsibility to verify whether the results were entered accurately. If a mistake is discovered, the visiting captain must advise the statistician of her level within 48 hours after the match so that the appropriate changes can be made by the statistician.
  10.  The receiving captain must provide the balls supplied by the league.
  11.  The captains must make sure that match play commences after the warm-up (10H15). A player may not leave the court after the start of the match without the permission of the opposing team.
  12.  Insure that the players on her team are qualified for the playoffs according to the rules of the league.
